In memory of Claire Camille Cosson, a graduate of the nursing program, an endowment has been established at Gulf Coast State College for prospective nursing students. Camille absolutely loved being a nurse. She was proud to be a nurse and passionate about the profession. She continually strove to gain knowledge, improve her skills, and treat every patient with care and compassion. Nursing was much more than an occupation for Camille, it was her opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others, especially the less fortunate, the forgotten, and the neglected. Because, as Camille often said, “everyone deserves to be loved”.
